Join us for exclusive outdoor activities on the beautiful secluded Kiawah Island, South Carolina's finest barrier island. Tidal Trails has been offering guided nature tours, instruction and customized tours since 1997. We want our guests to walk away with an experience that they can share with friends and family for years to come. Come see why many of our guests return year after year!
There is something for everyone at Tidal Trails: whether it is a chance to get closer to dolphins, to observe the abundant bird life, or to learn a new skill and meet some new friends. We are a unique adventure company in that we only cater to a select few that join us on our private Kiawah Island adventures. We pride ourselves on our ability to cater to our customer’s needs. Our guides and instructors are highly trained and enthusiastic about sharing their love of the water and nature with our guests. Our equipment has been specifically selected for the Kiawah area and to suit the needs of our clients. Our comfortable, stable touring kayaks and stand up paddleboards (SUP) offer the perfect way to view wildlife and discover these relaxing outdoor activities. No experience is necessary and all guided tours include an introductory clinic. Our power boats are selected for their ample room and comfort. They are the perfect platform to enjoy nature and explore more of the island and remote local waterways. Tidal Trails' self-guided tours include top quality kayaks, stand up paddleboards and surfboards. Our goal is making wonderful memories.
Kiawah boasts 11 miles of pristine beach located just south of historic Charleston, South Carolina. We have been teaching surfing on the island for over a decade. Join our experienced surf instructors for an exciting fun filled lesson or youth surf camp. If you have never surfed before, Kiawah Island is a great place to learn: shallow water, easy rolling waves and its warm! We start off on the beach with the basic surfing techniques, ocean awareness and safety. Then we head out to the water to catch some waves. We believe it is a great way for kids to get excited about a new sport. For families it is a wonderful way to get together, exercise and try something new. For lessons we mainly use soft-boards, but we also have more advanced boards for those participants who are just fine tuning their skills. Beginner to expert, young and young at heart, we’ve got you covered.
Kiawah Island is a private gated community and is restricted to KI property owners and property owner guests only
